Dr. Alexis Barnes
(She/Her/Hers) PT, DPT

My name is Alexis Barnes and I so enjoy getting to treat patients for pelvic health. I attended the University of Oklahoma for my Doctorate of Physical Therapy and have since taken all course work for pelvic health through the American Physical Therapy Association. I’ll be taking the official board examination in Spring 2024 to receive my WCS and I have several years of pelvic specific treatments under my belt. I have a 7 month old daughter, a music loving husband, and our dog Clark. I’ll be honored if we meet to help you toward your personal goals through a holistic lens.

Other tid bits: I love treating dyspareunia, suprapubic pain and endometriosis, and return to exercise for active mommas. I’ve taken additional classes for DRA, pregnancy and postpartum fitness through ICE, dry needling, and pelvic girdle dysfunction.

Dr. Amanda Rook
(She/Her/Hers) PT, DPT

Amanda Rook, PT, DPT, LMT is a doctor of physical therapy who specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy and women’s health. She was born and raised in Norman, OK, attending Norman North Highschool and graduating summa cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University in New York. Subsequently, she earned a master’s degree in CRL specializing in Medical Humanities from the University of Oklahoma in 2013; and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 2017. She studied massage therapy at the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, New York and owned her own massage therapy practice in Norman for nearly a decade before pursuing physical therapy to advance her practice.

Amanda graduated physical therapy school with outstanding distinction. In 2016, she was inducted into the Alpha Eta Society, the national scholastic honor society for the allied health professions. She also received the Jill Pitman Jones Scholarship for Academic Excellence from the University of Oklahoma College of Allied Health in 2017. In 2019, Amanda completed Manual Therapy Certification with Evidence in Motion. She anticipates completion of her American Physical Therapy Association Certification of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP-Pelvic) certification in 2021.
